I have no idea if this fix will work for everyone but it seemed to work for me. Originally posted by Red Ninja:I think I found how to get the Reverb G2 controllers to completely work in Skyrim VR. This may or may not be the root cause but I did notice that whenever I had this issue and went into the controller binding setup, that the "Right A Button" and "Right A Button Touch" actions were mapped to both left and right controllers (X button and A button respectively). This seems to do the trick every time.Īlso, if anyone else experiences this issue in Skyrim with the buttons not seeming to work, I think (and please do note the qualifier "think") that it has to do with the same action being bound to two different controller buttons (including between left & right controllers). The exact steps I have to take (and this may be every time I open SkyrimVR) is to go to the Steam VR Home first and do these steps all overĪgain and only after doing that, open Skyrim VR from within the Steam VR Home. I hope this helps anyone else who had as much trouble as I did with this binding nonsense.ĮDIT: I discovered after going back into the game in a subsequent session that it was back to its old tricks again. I was also able to navigate across the different menu tabs in the system menu. Both the system menu and the character menu opened as expected. A quick popup appears "Saving" and then I went back to my game and everything worked as expected. Click the "None" button.Ī new menu appears with a list of legacy controllers. At the top left is a blue button "None" with text next to it "Pretend to be this kind of controller". Click that.Ī new screen displays with a bunch of what seems like free text fields. Click to Edit the bindings (brings you to the UI with the images of controllers and you can set specific binding overrides).Īt the top of that screen, there is a tab to set Legacy Actions. With the HP Motion Controllers selected as your current binding, change from Default to Custom binding in the VR settings menu. Originally posted by Cyaduki:So,just got my G2 delivered, and can't even go pass the chara-making menu, in fact i can't figure out how to switch any menu inside the game.I think i'm suppose to use the trackpad to switch between menus, but that just do not exist in the G2 controller, and the joystick just won't work.Any chance that there's a solution for this? I think I found how to get the Reverb G2 controllers to completely work in Skyrim VR. Thinking about demanding a refund on this at this point. Why the hell didn't they bind the thumbsticks to be able and change menu. The fact that this topic has been posted for 4 days with no response is unforgivable. But now, I can't change between the system menus (left / right menu action doesn't work) same as Cyaduki)!!! WT actual F guys. This is completely unforgivable and someone needs to get on this discussion and inform Cyaduki and myself as well as the other G2 purchasers of exactly what we're supposed to do to play this game.ĮDIT: I just tried to manually edit the bindings using a custom binding to try and force the menu to open. But no other button will bring up the actual in game menu. Only the system / options menu comes up (left controller "Y" button). I was able to create a character but it is impossible to open the main menu (to equip weapons and choose spells etc). 60 dollars is an absurd amount of money to pay when they can't even get the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bindings correct. Step 3: Use Shift, Ctrl, or Alt + another key to bind the key. This x1000. Step 2: Click on the cell of the hotkey you want to change. Step 1: Open the settings and click on “Hotkeys.” However, 3rd party software can be used to remap either Shift, Ctrl, or Alt keys to another key such as “Caps Lock” or “Function” keys, by using programs such as SharpKeys and Mouse Manager, but the use of such programs will not be covered in this guide. This feature is commonly used for self-casting spells such as shields and heals, or quick/smart casting. For players wishing to bind two keys to a certain hotkey in League of Legends, it is only possible to do so with the Shift, Ctrl, Alt + another key.
